There is nothing quite like the holiday season in Vail. From the charming beauty of Vail Village and Lionshead to the epic, snow-packed mountain conditions, the magic of the season is all around. Vail Holidaze
This annual event adds a variety of family-friendly activities to Vail’s iconic holiday backdrop. Events are available daily December 18 through 20 and also December 31 at a variety of locations around town, including Solaris Plaza. Indulge in cookie decorating, learn how to ice skate, learn how to make festive paper lanterns and more. Click here to view the complete Vail Holidaze schedule. Additionally, guests are invited to welcome the New Year, Vail style, with the Torchlight Parade. Watch the parade at Golden Peak, as ski instructors and Vail locals form a glowing train as they ski down Golden Peak with glow sticks. As a bonus, a spectacular firework display will follow.
Tree Lighting in Slifer Square
Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, music and entertainment at 5 p.m. on December 20, followed by an illuminated lantern walk led by the one and only Santa. Make your own lantern for your chance to win one of many great prizes!
Ice Skating at Solaris Plaza
Local skaters will be at the Solaris Ice Skating Rink on select dates this month to assist children with the basics of skating. During Vail Holidaze, there may even be a surprise appearance from Santa himself.
Winter Sleigh Ride
Delight in Vail’s picturesque mountain setting when you indulge in a sleigh ride through our local winter wonderland. Your Solaris Personal Assistant will happily make a reservation at one of our local favorites, including Bearcat’s Cabin or 4 Eagle Ranch, both of which also offer intimate dining in a historic setting.
