Fall Festivals in Vail, Colorado

The changing colors and crisp air mean the world’s greatest celebration of beer is just around the corner! Oktoberfest kicks off in Vail Village this Friday, September 18 and runs through the weekend. Guests will enjoy a Bratwurst Eating Contest, Keg Bowling, Hacker-Pschorr Beer, Bavarian music, yodeling, traditional Bavarian fare and much more. The celebratory atmosphere is complimented by the stunning European flair throughout the village and the beautiful mountain setting.

A favorite among locals and visitors alike, Vail Oktoberfest has been named one of the ten greatest Oktoberfest celebrations in the U.S. by USA Today. No need to leave the children at home – this free event is open to the public and offers family-friendly activities such as entertainers, crafts, balloon animals and more from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Children and families are encouraged to participate in the Oktoberfest Fun Run, which benefits the Children’s Garden of Learning. The Fun Run takes place Sunday, October 20 at 9 a.m. at Checkpoint Charlie in Vail Village and registration is available in-person the day of the event.

A complete list of Oktoberfest events and frequently asked questions is available on their website. While Oktoberfest is within walking distance of Solaris Plaza, guests of Solaris Vail are encouraged to leave their keys at home and allow our private shuttle to handle drop-off or pick-up, if needed. Wake up to complementary pastries and coffee the following morning, or venture downstairs for a breakfast at Yeti’s Grind.

If you are unable to make it to this weekend’s festival, other September events include Vail Farmers’ Market and Art Show and Vail Restaurant Week. Now in its 11th year on Meadow Drive in Vail, the Vail Farmers’ Market and Art Show features over 135 vendors in a pet and children friendly environment for 17 weekends per year.
